This extremely popular event, co-sponsored by the Friends of Cape Henlopen State Park and R&L Liquors, of Lewes, returns again, offering you a wide selection of craft beers, wines, and cheeses for you to sample. Craft beers and wines are donated by select distributors and cheeses from local vendors. In addition, Friends volunteers will be passing out tasty
hors d’oeuvres designed to pair well with the wines and beers. Our traditional raffle, featuring fun alcohol related prizes, will be present too.
This year we will have 10 wine vendors, and 4 to5 beer vendors participating.
All with multiple varieties for you to taste
As you sample wines , using your included commemorative wine glass, you will be able to place an order with R&L Liquors for later pickup at their store. All orders placed at the event whether one bottle or multiple bottles will qualify for a 10% discount . Sales of all featured beers will be available at the R&L store at regular prices. R&L has Store Side Free Parking!
Enjoy your evening in the historic Officers’ Club in Cape Henlopen State Park (with ample parking). The club was built before World War II as part of Fort Miles, now Cape Henlopen State Park.

Our signature merchandise is not sold at this event. Rest assured though that it will be available at The Chocolate Tasting and the Christmas Boutique & Book Fair Events later in the year.
Proceeds from this fun event will go to the Friends Thatcher Education Fund. This fund provides grants to Title1schools to assist with transportation costs so they can bring their students to the park to participate in the varied educational programs offered there.
